The Passaic Valley Hornets basketball team (Little Falls, NJ), was nudged 56-49 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ)
The Bears now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hasbrouck Heights for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 11. Hawthorne will battle a Aviators team coming off a 70-45 non-league win over Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ). The Aviators record now stands at 5-2.
The Hornets (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ). The Patriots come into the Big North - Independence battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Wayne Hills edged Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ), 59-49, in a league battle.
