Minnesota High School Basketball - Irondale holds off Spring Lake Park

January 9, 2023: New Brighton, MN 55112

Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN) and the visiting Spring Lake Park Panthers (Spring Lake Park, MN), saw Irondale's basketball squad hold off Spring Lake Park by a tally of 77-72.

With the victory, Irondale improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Park (Cottage Grove, MN) to confront the Wolfpack in a AAAA Section 3 challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Park lost 83-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Stewartville (Stewartville, MN)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Park Center Pirates (Brooklyn Park, MN) in a AAAA Section 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Spring Lake Park will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 104-68 non-league win over Rogers (Rogers, MN).
