Sparta Spartans (Sparta, WI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arcadia Raiders (Arcadia, WI), 82-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sparta upgrades its record to 3-11 on the campaign. The Spartans host La Crosse Central (La Crosse, WI) to play the Riverhawks in a Mississippi Valley bout on Friday, January 13. The Riverhawks come into the bout with a record of 5-8. La Crosse Central won 63-60 in their recent non-league bout against Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI)

Next up, the Raiders play the West Salem Panthers (West Salem, WI) in a Coulee bout, on Thursday, January 12. Arcadia will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 62-48 non-league win over Altoona (Altoona, WI).
