Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks (Metairie, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad topple the host St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA), 56-43 in a non-league test.
The Chipmunks (13-6) will now prepare for their test against John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA). The Patriots go into the 5A District 9 test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, John Curtis Christian notched a victory over Warren Easton (New Orleans, LA), 55-48, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mandeville for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. St. Thomas Aquinas will encounter a Skippers squad coming off a 57-46 non-league win over Northshore (Slidell, LA). The Skippers record now stands at 16-4.
