The Elyria Pioneers basketball team (Elyria, OH), was nudged 47-46 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Brooklyn Hurricanes (Brooklyn, OH)
The Hurricanes now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cuyahoga Heights for a Chagrin Valley - Metro battle on Wednesday, January 11. Brooklyn will battle a Red Wolves team coming off a 55-32 non-league win over Grand Valley (Orwell, OH). The Red Wolves record now stands at 10-2.
The Pioneers (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Midview (Grafton, OH). The Middies come into the Southwestern battle with a 12-1 record. In their last battle, Midview edged Avon (Avon, OH), 46-16, in a league battle.
