The Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) basketball crushed the visiting Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT), 76-35 in Monday's league test.

The Panthers (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Notre Dame Catholic was trounced by Immaculate (Danbury, CT), 51-32, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Harding for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 11. Bunnell will encounter a Presidents squad coming off a 48-41 non-league loss to Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT). The Presidents record now stands at 0-6.
