Central Warriors (Elkader, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA), 58-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Warriors host South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA) to clash with the Warriors in a Upper Iowa bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-8. South Winneshiek won 33-28 in their recent league bout against Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors (Wheatland, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Central City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 44-39 non-league loss to Tipton (Tipton, IA).
