Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA), 46-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Conneaut Area upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Eagles host Meadville (Meadville, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a District 10 Region 5 bout on Thursday, January 12. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Cambridge Springs Devils (Cambridge Springs, PA) in a District 10 Region 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Cochranton will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Devils come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 66-23 league win over Youngsville (Youngsville, PA).
