The Franklin Central Purple Devils basketball team (Franklin, NY), was overwhelmed 74-34 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Sidney Warriors (Sidney, NY)
The Warriors now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Unadilla Valley for a Section 4 Midstate battle on Thursday, January 12. Sidney will battle a Storm team coming off a 49-36 league loss to Delaware Academy (Delhi, NY). The Storm record now stands at 4-8.
The Purple Devils (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton (Gilbertsville, NY). The Raiders come into the Section 4 Tri-Valley outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton was crushed by Richfield Springs Central (Richfield Springs, NY), 38-26, in a league outing.
