Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lutheran/Calvary Crusaders (Springfield, IL), 50-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Litchfield upgrades its record to 6-14 on the season. The Purple Panthers travel to North Mac (Virden, IL) to play the Panthers in a South Central bout on Thursday, January 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-9. North Mac won 52-48 in their recent non-league bout against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Lutheran/Calvary will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 58-27 non-league loss to Tri-City/Sangamon Valley (Niantic, IL).
