Pennsylvania High School Basketball - North Hills can't hold off New Castle

The New Castle Hurricanes basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting North Hills Indians to 53 in the Hurricanes league victory on Monday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Farrell for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 11. New Castle will battle a Steelers team coming off a 47-29 league win over Commodore Perry (Hadley, PA). The Steelers record now stands at 1-7.

The Indians (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mars (Mars, PA). The Fightin' Planets come into the WPIAL 5A 2 contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Mars edged Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA), 35-34, in a league contest.
