ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Stark County Rebels (Toulon, IL), 29-28 in a league bout.

With the win, ROWVA/Williamsfield upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Cougars travel to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] lost 60-43 in their recent non-league bout against Annawan (Annawan, IL)

Next up, the Rebels play the Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Stark County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Princes go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 55-35 league win over Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL).
