The Union Area Scotties basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Sharpsville Blue Devils to 36 in the Scotties non-league triumph on Monday.

The Scotties now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19.

The Blue Devils (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Rockets enter the District 10 Region 4 contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Slippery Rock was defeated by Sharon (Sharon, PA), 37-36, in a league contest.
