Wood River Eagles (Wood River, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Paul Wildcats (St. Paul, NE), 21-9 in a league bout.
With the win, Wood River upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
