McDonough Warhawks (McDonough, GA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA), 55-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McDonough upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Warhawks travel to Dutchtown (Hampton, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Dutchtown won 60-24 in their recent league bout against Union Grove (McDonough, GA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Sandy Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
