Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting North Forsyth Vikings (Winston-Salem, NC), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Western Guilford upgrades its record to 4-9 on the season. The Hornets host Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Southeast Guilford lost 63-36 in their recent non-league bout against Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. North Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 66-23 league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC).
