With the victory, Martins Ferry upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Purple Riders host Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH) to play the Seminoles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Seminoles come into the bout with a record of 10-0.

Next up, the Beavers play the St. Clairsville Red Devils (St. Clairsville, OH) in a Buckeye 8 bout, on Friday, January 12. Beaver will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 68-66 league win over Union Local (Belmont, OH).
