Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA), 56-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Bellingham upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Bayhawks host Anacortes (Anacortes, WA) to play the Seahawks in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Thursday, January 11. The Seahawks go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Anacortes won 72-48 in their recent league bout against Meridian (Bellingham, WA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Friday, January 12. Oak Harbor will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 73-44 league win over Sehome (Bellingham, WA).
