The Brazoswood Buccaneers (Clute, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Dayton Broncos (Dayton, TX), 49-36 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers (10-12) will now prepare for their outing against Clear Lake (Houston, TX). The Falcons go into the 6A Region III District 24 outing with a 15-11 record. In their last outing, Clear Lake defeated Clear Falls (League City, TX), 75-45, in a league outing.
The Broncos now hold a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Lufkin for a 5A Region II District 16 outing on Friday, January 12. Dayton will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 54-39 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 13-11.
