The Fairfield Mules basketball team (Fairfield, IL), dropped 49-30 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Richland County Tigers (Olney, IL)
The Tigers now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Carmel for a Little Illini battle on Friday, January 12. Richland County will confront a Golden Aces team coming off a 65-51 league win over Robinson (Robinson, IL). The Golden Aces record now stands at 6-6.
The Mules (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL). The Bulldogs come into the Black Diamond - East battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Carmi-White County beat Edwards County (Albion, IL), 53-38, in a league battle.
