Virginia High School Basketball - Handley knocked off by Meridian

The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Handley Judges to 64 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fauquier for a Northwestern contest on Friday, January 12. Meridian will battle a Falcons team coming off a 48-42 league loss to Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 6-6.

The Judges (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty (Bealeton, VA). The Eagles enter the Northwestern contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Liberty ran past Warren County (Front Royal, VA), 65-52, in a league contest.
