Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lytle Pirates (Lytle, TX), 93-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Poth upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Pirates host Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX) to clash with the Indians/Squaws in a 3A Region IV District 27 bout on Friday, January 12. The Indians/Squaws go into the bout with a record of 9-10.
Next up, the Pirates clash with the Dilley Wolves (Dilley, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 28 bout, on Friday, January 12. Lytle will attempt to upgrade on its 17-5 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 69-45 non-league loss to South San Antonio West (San Antonio, TX).
