Michigan High School Basketball - Powers Catholic tops Mt. Pleasant

Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI), 74-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Powers Catholic upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, MI) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bearcats come into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Oilers play the Central Wolves (Bay City, MI) in a Saginaw Valley bout, on Friday, January 12. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 78-46 non-league loss to Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI).
