In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Phoenix Pirates basketball team scored a decisive 64-36 triumph over the South Umpqua Lancers.
In their next game, the Pirates meet the Mazama Vikings (Klamath Falls, OR) in a 4A Skyline match, on Friday, January 12. Phoenix will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record.
With the defeat, South Umpqua moves to 4-5 on the year. The Lancers host Douglas (Winston, OR) to meet the Trojans in a 3A Far West match on Friday, January 12. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 9-3. Douglas lost 76-22 in their recent league match against Coquille (Coquille, OR)
