The Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH) basketball felled the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), 63-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Tomcats (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH). The Lancers go into the Tri-Valley II test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Federal Hocking thwarted Alexander (Albany, OH), 75-40, in a non-league test.
The Golden Rockets now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Vinton County for a Tri-Valley I test on Friday, January 12. Wellston will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 81-57 non-league win over New Hope Christian Academy (Circleville, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 9-2.
