Wakefield Memorial Warriors (Wakefield, MA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Winchester Red & Black (Winchester, MA), 50-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Wakefield Memorial upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Burlington (Burlington, MA) to play the Red Devils in a Middlesex bout on Friday, January 12. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Burlington won 59-49 in their recent league bout against Belmont (Belmont, MA)

Next up, the Red & Black play the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) in a Middlesex bout, on Friday, January 12. Winchester will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
