Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA), 30-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Grossmont upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Foothillers travel to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA) to play the Cougars in a bout on Saturday, January 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Steele Canyon lost 35-18 in their recent non-league bout against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA)

Next up, the Matadors play the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) in a bout, on Saturday, January 20. Mount Miguel will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
