In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL), by a margin of 72-39.
The Senators (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL). The Braves go into the non-league outing with a 15-7 record. In their last outing, Mt. Zion smashed Charleston (Charleston, IL), 61-28, in a league outing.
The Maroons now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Bloomington for a Big Twelve outing on Tuesday, January 16.
