Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Coahoma County Red Panthers (Clarksdale, MS), 47-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grenada upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Chargers host South Panola (Batesville, MS) to clash with the Tigers in a 6A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 12. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 12-3. South Panola won 72-27 in their recent league bout against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS)

Next up, the Red Panthers clash with the Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Thursday, January 11. Coahoma County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record.
