In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) basketball squad edged the visiting Erskine Academy Eagles (South China, ME), by a count of 56-49.
The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Mariners go into the B South outing with a 9-0 record. In their last outing, Oceanside held off Leavitt (Turner, ME), 62-27, in a league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Leavitt for a non-league outing on Friday, January 12. Erskine Academy will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 62-27 league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 4-6.
