The Kearsley Hornets (Flint, MI) basketball knocked off the host Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI), 57-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Hornets (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Fenton (Fenton, MI). The Tigers go into the Flint Metro test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Fenton went down by Bay City Western (Auburn, MI), 71-24, in a non-league test.
The Corsairs now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Kettering for a Lakes Valley test on Thursday, January 11. Mott will encounter a Captains squad coming off a 30-23 league loss to Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI). The Captains record now stands at 2-7.
