Ohio High School Basketball - Utica can't hold off Licking Valley

The Licking Valley Panthers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Utica Redskins to 48 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granville for a Licking County - Buckeye contest on Friday, January 12. Licking Valley will battle a Blue Aces team coming off a 57-49 non-league loss to Newark Catholic (Newark, OH). The Blue Aces record now stands at 10-1.
The Redskins (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lakewood (Hebron, OH). The Lancers enter the Licking County - Cardinal contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Lakewood was nudged by Newark Catholic (Newark, OH), 50-20, in a league contest.
