Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mangham Dragons (Mangham, LA), 54-15 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sterlington upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Panthers host Carroll (Monroe, LA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A District 1 bout on Friday, January 12. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-9.

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Vidalia Vikings (Vidalia, LA) in a 2A District 2 bout, on Friday, January 12. Mangham will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 66-37 league win over Ferriday (Ferriday, LA).
