In Tuesday's league outing, the Pinkerton Astros (Derry, NH) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Portsmouth Clippers (Portsmouth, NH), by a count of 74-53.

The Astros (5-0) will now prepare for their outing against Nashua South (Nashua, NH). The Purple Panthers go into the Division I outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Nashua South smashed Manchester West (Manchester, NH), 45-35, in a non-league outing.

The Clippers now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Merrimack for a Division I outing on Friday, January 12. Portsmouth will clash with a Tomahawks squad coming off a 58-29 league loss to Alvirne (Hudson, NH). The Tomahawks record now stands at 1-5.
