Colorado High School Basketball - Salida crushes Rye

January 9, 2024: Rye, CO 81069

Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO), 52-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Salida upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Peyton (Peyton, CO) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-0. Peyton won 60-29 in their recent non-league bout against Center (Center, CO)

Next up, the Thunderbolts play the Colorado Springs Christian Lions (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Rye will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 81-20 league win over Manitou Springs (Manitou Springs, CO).
