Brookside Cardinals (Sheffield, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH), 71-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Brookside upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Firelands (Oberlin, OH) to play the Falcons in a bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Pirates play the Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Black River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 69-36 non-league loss to Brookside (Sheffield, OH).
