Arizona High School Soccer - La Joya Community held off by West Point

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ) and the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ), saw West Point's soccer squad get by La Joya Community by a margin of 2-1.

The Dragons now sport a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Maryvale for a non-league test on Thursday, January 11. West Point will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Metro Tech (Phoenix, AZ). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, La Joya Community drops to 6-5 on the season. The Fighting lobos travel to Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ) to meet the Knights in a 5A Desert West test on Thursday, January 11. The Knights come into the test with a record of 5-0. Lake Havasu won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Lee Williams (Kingman, AZ)
