The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN) and the host Lake of the Woods Bears (Baudette, MN), observed Blackduck's basketball team overwhelm Lake of the Woods by a score of 80-53.

The Drakes (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Fosston (Fosston, MN). The Greyhounds come into the A Section 8 challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Fosston trounced Bagley (Bagley, MN), 71-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the Bigfork Huskies (Bigfork, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. Lake of the Woods will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 78-66 league loss to Hill City (Hill City, MN).
