The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC) and the host Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), observed Coastal Christian's basketball team overwhelm Wayne Christian by a score of 65-43.

The Centurions (3-13) will now prepare for their challenge against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Saints come into the NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, John Paul II Catholic trounced Liberty Christian Academy (Richlands, NC), 64-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Wayne Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 67-61 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC).
