The English Valleys Bears basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Highland Huskies to 60 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bears now have a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Lynnville-Sully for a South Iowa Cedar game on Friday, January 10. English Valleys will confront a Hawks team coming off a 47-32 league win over Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Highland falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Huskies host Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA) to confront the Wolves in a SEI - North game on Tuesday, January 21. The Wolves go into the game with a record of 7-5.
