In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Palmer Moose basketball team scored a good 78-60 triumph over the Homer Mariners.
The Moose (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Soldotna (Soldotna, AK). The Stars go into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Soldotna was topped by Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK), 64-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mariners battle the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears (Juneau, AK) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Homer will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Crimson Bears go into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 64-49 non-league win over Soldotna (Soldotna, AK).
