In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Warner Monarchs basketball team scored a close 52-48 win over the Ipswich Tigers.
The Monarchs (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Central (Eureka, SD). The Thunder come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, North Central was tipped by Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD), 56-51, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Sully Buttes Chargers (Onida, SD) in a B Region 6 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Ipswich will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Chargers come into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 71-46 league win over Highmore/Harrold (Highmore, SD).
