The Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) basketball were winner over the visiting Philip Scotties (Philip, SD), 44-30 in Thursday's league bout.
The Coyotes now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Wall for a B Region 7 bout on Friday, January 10. Jones County will play a Eagles team coming off a 65-45 non-league win over McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Philip falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Scotties host Hill City (Hill City, SD) to play the Rangers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Hill City lost 77-54 in their recent league bout against Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD)
