The Yreka Miners basketball squad (Yreka, CA), was crushed 66-34 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA)
With the victory, Las Plumas advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Durham (Durham, CA) to meet the Trojans in a non-league battle on Friday, January 10. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 10-3. Durham won 61-43 in their recent non-league battle against Lassen (Susanville, CA)
The Miners now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University Prep for a Northern battle on Tuesday, January 14. Yreka will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 70-60 non-league win over Las Plumas (Oroville, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 11-6.
