The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) and the visiting Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA), observed Masconomet Regional's basketball team overwhelm Saugus by a margin of 96-47.

The Chieftains (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Beverly (Beverly, MA). The Panthers come into the Northeastern - Large challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Beverly was trounced by Arlington (Arlington, MA), 65-62, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Sachems battle the KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Panthers (Lynn, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Saugus will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.
