In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] basketball team scored a close 61-57 win over the North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] Bearcats.
The (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Enderlin (Enderlin, ND). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-7 record.
In their next game, the Bearcats battle the Hatton/Northwood Thunder (Northwood, ND) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Thunder come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 39-36 non-league win over Richland (Colfax, ND).
