The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the host Ridley Raiders (Folsom, PA), observed Springfield's basketball team knock off Ridley by a score of 65-48.

The Cougars (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Conestoga (Berwyn, PA). The Pioneers come into the Central challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Conestoga was knocked off by Penncrest (Media, PA), 62-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Strath Haven Panthers (Wallingford, PA) in a Central challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Ridley will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 74-45 league loss to Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA).
