In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals basketball team scored a big 64-13 win over the Academy of Our Lady Penguins.

The Cardinals (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Northshore (Slidell, LA). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Northshore smashed St. Scholastica (Covington, LA), 47-46, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Penguins battle the St. Mary's Academy Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Academy of Our Lady will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 27-25 non-league win over Morris Jeff (New Orleans, LA).
