Nebraska High School Basketball - Amherst nips Ansley/Litchfield

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Amherst Broncos basketball team scored a close 40-35 win over the Ansley/Litchfield Spartans.

The Broncos (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Overton (Overton, NE). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Overton was tipped by Shelton (Shelton, NE), 61-25, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Twin Loup Wolves (Sargent, NE) in a D1 District 8 contest, on Friday, January 10. Ansley/Litchfield will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Wolves come into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 40-29 non-league loss to Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE).
