In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Ethan Rustlers basketball team scored a big 64-31 win over the Avon Pirates.
The Rustlers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wessington Springs (Wessington Springs, SD). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Wessington Springs smashed Sunshine Bible Academy (Miller, SD), 58-29, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD) in a B Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Avon will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The come into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 53-47 non-league loss to Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD).
